Hey! This is Nick and Sean
We are Terranaut Recordings. We’re a music production service based in Brooklyn and we’ve been making music together for quite some time now.
This idea came from our love of playing with songwriters, composition, and production. Our goal is to help songwriters fully realize their music by taking something like a demo and producing it into a fully fleshed out song. We provide the tracking/instrumentation, arrangement ideas, production, mixing and mastering, and provide you with a “streaming/radio/CD ready” song. Part of the reason why we started this collective is to provide songwriters access to a Swiss Army knife of production. As a duo that has spent years studying and playing music together, we can provide a myriad of sounds from the acoustic realm (guitars, upright/electric bass, drums, etc) into the electronic realm (synths, drum machines, digital processing, etc). We also handle the mixing and mastering ourselves. We aim to be an alternative to the traditional record label industry, which historically does not work in favor for the musician.
Since we take care of everything and we’re only two people (and roommates), the overhead is relatively low and we can charge affordable rates with fast turnaround. We also never take any rights or royalties, the music 100% belongs to the songwriter. We believe music should be for everyone, so this collective aims to break down one barrier of entry into the music industry.
